Moisture Absorption Capacity

Our seed storage silica gel is made of highly active silica gel material. Under standard conditions of 25℃ and 60% relative humidity, its moisture absorption rate can reach more than 30%. That is, every 100 grams of silica gel can absorb 30 grams of water. If the ambient humidity is increased to 90%, its moisture absorption capacity will be further enhanced.

The maximum capacity can reach 40%. This silica gel desiccant can quickly reduce the humidity in a sealed container to below 20%, effectively preventing seeds from getting damp and mildewing. After absorbing moisture, it can be regenerated by heating (drying at 100-120℃ for 2-4 hours). It can maintain a efficiency of more than 90% after repeated use. Therefore, it is an ideal moisture-proof solution for long-term seed storage.
