1. Description
This self-indicating Orange Silica Gel with non-hazardous humidity indicator, for use in electric as dehydrating agent for transformer air drying equipment.
The silica gel shall contain an iron compound-based indicator (e.g., ferric ammonium sulfate) changing a color from orange into light green or white (colorless) during the process of moisture adsorption. The products shall not contain any material that has been regenerated.
2. Technical
The grain or bead size of 96% of it should be 2-5 mm.
3. Packaging
3.1 The desiccant shall be filled into strong, sound clean, dry and transparent packages (to determine the color of the product).
3.2 The bagged desiccant shall be packaged in leakproof and air tight containers. The containers shall be approximately full and shall hold an agreed quantity of bags per container.
