How to use deoxidizer(oxygen absorber)?

THEORY

Deoxidizer commonly used reaction principles are iron powder oxidation (iron), enzyme oxidation (enzyme), ascorbic acid oxidation, photosensitive dye oxidation, etc. Most of the deoxidizers currently in use are based on the oxidation of iron powder. The iron - based deoxidizer can be bagged and packed to reduce the oxygen concentration to 0.01%. It is generally required that 1g iron powder can react with 300mL oxygen, and the appropriate amount can be selected according to the oxygen remaining after packaging and the oxygen permeability of packaging film. Applications include confectionery, dried seafood snacks, cooked meat products, rice cakes, pasta, cheese, and dried vegetables. In addition to bagged deoxidizer, plastic labels or various cards containing active iron powder are inserted into the package.


HOW TO USE

1.      Putting the food (articles) which need to be kept fresh with deoxidizer into a low oxygen permeability composite packaging bag (composite packaging material), heat sealing.

2.      According to the oxygen removal size to choose different volume of packaging.

3.      Choosing packing materials with oxygen permeability lower than 20mL /m2.24h.25℃, such as KOP/PE, KPET/PE composite film packaging bags, plastic cans, glass cans, iron cans.

4.      Pay attention to sealing strength and sealing quality, do not leak out.

5.      After opening the package of deoxidizer, it is best to use it up and seal it within 1 ~ 2 hours. If it has not been used up, please discharge the air in the original packaging bag in time and re-seal it to avoid invalidation.

6.      Do not microwave, do not eat.

7.      Deoxidation preservation is suitable for the preservation of fatty and oily food, not for the preservation of products with large water content.

8.      For vacuum deoxygenation packaging preservation, if it is fresh products preservation, to be kept at low temperature. And the appropriate temperature of deoxidizer for deoxidizing preservation is generally in 5-40 ℃, if the temperature is less than -5℃, deoxidizing preservation effect will be declined.
